Chesapeake Grain Company

Chesapeake Grain is a regional waterfront grain loading and unloading facility along the Elizabeth River in Chesapeake, Virginia. The facility has a Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) permit for stormwater discharges that reach the river. Since working for this facility in 2004, MSA has provided a range of surveying, engineering, and environmental services. This work includes surveying, wetland permitting, erosion and sediment control plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation, Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), and assisting with all aspects of permit compliance. MSA manages the facilities’ VPDES Permit with TMDL monitoring and reporting requirements.
