MSA worked with the project architect to develop civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architecture construction plans for a new 7,800 SF municipal public library and the accompanying on-site sewage treatment system. MSA also performed a topographic survey of the 12.2-acre land area and worked directly for Currituck County, NC to create an “exempt” subdivision plat and set survey monuments at property corners.
Construction documents included design for demolition; dimensional site layout; erosion and sedimentation control; grading, drainage and stormwater management; on-site water and sewer utility services; and landscaping details.
Construction administration services were provided, including site visits and responses to contractor Requests For Information. During the construction phase, MSA’s surveyors worked directly for the contractor to provide construction staking of the site improvements, including the right-of-way along Tulls Creek Road. Lastly, MSA prepared as-built drawings for stormwater and drainage systems.
