MSA is supporting Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects as a member of the Design Team responsible for supporting the Activity in the preparation of a complete DD Form 1391 for the DLA Operations Facility Phase 2. This included participating in the Planning Charrette, providing facility sketches, and aiding the cost estimator with quantities taken from the concept site plans.
This project is the final phase of the Operations Facility. The current task only allows for the preparation of the DD Form 1391 in the pursuit of funding allocations. During the planning stages, MSA worked with the Norfolk District and the Activity to allow for adequate stormwater management facilities, parking, utilities, and other support infrastructure so that when funding becomes available and this project enters the design phase, the designer is not forced to make significant changes to the layout in order to obtain stormwater and Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC) approval from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
