MSA provided civil engineering, environmental sciences, landscape architecture, planning, and land surveying services for demolition of an existing hotel and redevelopment of the 1-acre property on Atlantic Avenue at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The new development includes mixed-use retail and associated on-site parking.
Landscape Architecture services included providing a layout plan of proposed plantings, including interior shade trees, interior green space, and street front landscaping.
MSA provided environmental engineering services to conduct a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment to determine if any Recognized Environmental Conditions were present.
MSA’s surveying department completed topographic surveying of the property, which includes a 20’ alley from Atlantic Avenue to Pacific Avenue, and Construction Layout (CLO) surveying. MSA also prepared a resubdivision plat to incorporate the 20’ alley between 27th and 28th Street. An easement exhibit was prepared to illustrate proposed water meters.
MSA produced a conceptual layout plan to illustrate improvements to the site. We also prepared an encroachment exhibit to illustrate the alley crossing over 27th ½ Street, which was submitted to the City of Virginia Beach Division of Real Estate for public hearing.[\more\
